BIOSCHAMP Showcasing Innovative Solutions

We’re thrilled to announce that the innovative BIOSCHAMP project will be participating at the SUSFERT Final Conference, scheduled for November 30, 2023, from 10:10am – 12:50pm. BIOSCHAMP focuses on developing novel bio-based fertilizers to enhance crop productivity in mushroom cultivation while minimizing the environmental impact. BIOSCHAMP will present their latest findings and will also actively engage in a panel discussion following their presentation.

The BIOSCHAMP project aims to develop an integrated approach to tackle the mushroom cultivation challenges: it sets out to provide a more sustainable alternative to conventional mushroom cultivation utilising biostimulants, to reduce the need for pesticides and to contribute to improving the productivity, sustainability, and the profitability of the European mushroom sector, and to boost the circular economy. We are delighted to welcome Mr. Alberto Álvarez, D&C Coordinator at BIOSCHAMP, who will shed light on the path to more sustainable mushroom cultivation and best results achieved in their project. Mr. Álvarez holds a title of forestry engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and is the European project coordinator at Innovarum, a Madrid-based technical innovation consultancy specialising in the agri-food sector. He has 10 years of experience in innovation projects, from project management to proposal preparation, and in technology transfer.
